It is a woodcarving technique that expresses the shape of an object simply. The "itto" in ittobori does not refer to a single sword, but rather to the "simple" shape. The texture and feel of the wood carved out using various chisels, as well as the gentle atmosphere of the unique pale coloring, give Nagumo wooden dolls their warmth.
