Armorer 4th Generation Yuzan
Suzukoshi Yuzan is a prestigious armor workshop that has been in business for four generations. Received the Prime Minister's Special Award at the National New Festival Doll Competition. Received the Young Person's Excellent Skills Award from the Governor of Tokyo. The fourth generation "Yuzan" goes by the name "Ichizo" and is also known as a popular puppeteer who creates the Wanpaku Taisho series.
About 100 years ago, during the Meiji period, the first "Yuzan" Suzuki Kinehachi ran a business selling battle equipment for May dolls. Later, Kinehachi began making armor for May dolls, and began full-scale armor production. A true craftsman, Kinehachi continued to hone his skills and built the foundation for the current "Suzukine."
Since then, the eras have passed through the Taisho, Showa, and Heisei eras, and materials and techniques have improved to a degree that is incomparable to the Koshihachi era, but the Koshihachi craftsmanship spirit has been passed down to the present generation. Just as the love that parents have for their children remains unchanged from the past to the present, we follow the teachings of the first Suzukoshi and devote ourselves to making armor with solid skills and passion.
Heian Takehisa's helmets have the quality of art and craftsmanship that sets them apart from mass-produced products. Enjoy this wonderful Boys' Festival that will bring smiles to the faces of your whole family for years to come.
