The very popular carp streamer, Gold-painted Crescent Moon Carp [Gou]

The carp streamers are dyed using a traditional dyeing technique for a vibrant color. The carp streamers are made with gorgeous aluminum gold leaf, and a crescent moon shining through the clouds expresses strength and grandeur. The streamers are based on a deep green color, and feature a round iris pattern, closely associated with the Boy's Day festival, to celebrate the birth of a child and pray for their healthy growth.

And by depicting a crescent moon shining brilliantly between the clouds, the carp streamer expresses strength and scale.

Water-repellent treatment finish


The fabric is made of lightweight and durable polyester silky bright fabric. Both the carp streamer and the streamer are luxuriously made with a water-repellent finish that makes them resistant to rainwater.
