The marine animal motifs are designed by picture book author Kanayo Sugiyama.
The wood used for the blocks is Japanese wood such as cherry and magnolia.
For example, cherry wood is used for the "sea bream" and there is even an "oyster" piece.
We have incorporated playful elements that children can discover as they learn about the ecology of the animals.

Building blocks of various animals are simple to play with, which is why they can be enjoyed for a long time. Children will notice the differences in smell and texture depending on the type of wood used. They can also sort the animals by type, compare different sizes for parents and children, and even play with dolls. Arrange and stack animals of different shapes. The possibilities are endless.

Using four types of wood, each with a slightly different feel, some smooth, some rough. It's also fun to close your eyes, touch them, and guess which fish it is from its shape.　

②Find
You can play by gathering parents and children, or just children, or by gathering only the same type of wood.

With the concept of "Trees that took 100 years to grow should be used for things that last 100 years," Oak Village creates products that can be used and passed down for as long as the trees took to grow.

All products are made using domestic solid wood and other materials, and to bring out the unique qualities of the wood, natural oils, lacquer, and other coatings are used, with artisans meticulously finishing each piece.

Furthermore, based on the idea of "if you take one tree from the mountain, give one tree back," they established the NPO "Donguri no Kai" (Acorn Association) and actively engage in afforestation and tree planting activities across various regions of Japan.
