When you have a child's event or occasion, you know what to do with your hair even though you already have the outfit decided! Have you ever found yourself in this situation? You can't do complicated arrangements on busy mornings...To solve the problems of such moms, we asked Yuzuki, a stylist at the Okayama beauty salon "atelier neru," about some easy hair arrangements that moms can do!
This time, we will introduce yukata hairstyles that are perfect for summer festivals and fireworks displays.
Rin-chan, who was our model again from last time! She loves a certain door (pictured above) in the salon "atelier neru" where we took the photos, and she plays hide-and-seek and peeks in through it...she's full of energy today too. Rin-chan has long hair that reaches below her chest. This time, we'll show you a hair arrangement that can be done with long to medium length hair. Please prepare a sash or scarf to use when tying your hair up.
We learned how to style our hair from Yuzuki-san of atelier neru. This time, we will be learning how to style our hair in a yukata, perfect for summer festivals and fireworks displays. The entire process will take about 10 minutes!
First, lightly curl the entire hair. Curling in alternating directions will create more volume. You can do it without curling it, but if you have thin hair, curling it will make it easier to style.
Take 1:1 ratio of balm and wax in your hands and spread it on your palm. Apply to your entire hair. The balm gives your hair shine, but it doesn't have much hold on its own, so mix in some wax. Of course, you can also just use the wax.
To create a loose bun, thin out the hair around your face little by little and tie it into a ponytail on top of your head.
Fold the strip you want to braid in half and place it through the elastic band tied in a ponytail.
Make one end of the obi shorter and the other end longer. (The obi used this time is very long, but a shorter obi or scarf would also be fine.)
Fold the ponytail in half. Fold the ponytail in half again and braid it with one of the long obi. Tie the braid together with the obi with a rubber band. Braid the other side in the same way. Leave the short obi as is.
Pull out the braid thinly and loosen it up just enough.
Turn the left and right strands of the braid back and forth to make a bun. First, turn the left strand from the upper left under the right strand. Then turn the right strand from the upper right to the left. Take the two strands together and tie them together with the shorter obi. While checking the balance, tie the obi in a bow. Please refer to the video for instructions.
Pull the hair out of the bun little by little, checking the balance.
Curl the hair around your face, style your bangs, and you're done!
Dress up your face with some point makeup to brighten it up♪
This voluminous bun made with an obi is perfect for summer festivals and fireworks displays. The fluffy ribbon-tied obi stands out even from afar, making it a gorgeous arrangement that goes well with a yukata. You can also add a few hairpins to the side.
These special dangos are perfect for events like festivals and fireworks displays. It's also great that you can easily make gorgeous, attractive dangos!
Try changing the color and material of your obi to create different looks for your odango. You can also use scarves, ribbons, or stylish strings. This is an arrangement that can be used not only with yukata but also with one-piece dresses and dresses, so you can enjoy it in a variety of situations.
When you style your hair and do your makeup, you can become a different person and even small children feel happy. That's why girls are fun ♪ Dress them up with simple styles and have fun with moms and children ♪
