Cultural Heritage Jirozaemon Hina Hina

"Jirozaemon Hina" was founded in Kyoto by the puppet maker Jirozaemon Hinaya during the Edo period.

It is characterized by its black hair, round face, and hikime-kagibana dumpling-like face that appears in the Tale of Genji emaki, and is said to have been around 30 years since the Horeki period, Meiwa, Yasunei, Tenmei, and Kansei years. ``Jirozaemon Hina'' dominated the popularity of Edo for many years, and regardless of trends, ``Jirozaemon Hina'' were respected by the court nobles and feudal lords as the mainstream Hina dolls for a long time.

This is expressed in this work by female artist Hisayu Shimizu.
