After weaving a regular gauze blanket, the glue attached to the threads is washed to remove it, and then the blanket is sewn to complete the process, but BLANKED goes further by washing each blanket individually to give it outstanding absorbency. At a dyeing factory in Ehime Prefecture, the cotton is thoroughly decomposed by enzymes to remove impurities such as cotton wax and glue, and the blanket is washed and finished with plenty of underground water from Mt. Ishizuchi, which has been selected as one of Japan's 100 famous waters.

BLANKED is a gauze blanket brand made by Nakamori, a long-established manufacturer that has been making fabrics for over 70 years in Mikawa, the birthplace of the cotton textile industry. The base of gauze blankets is Mikawa cotton. According to historical documents, after cotton was first introduced from India to Aichi Prefecture in Japan, it is said that Mikawa was also the first place where domestic cotton was produced during the Muromachi period. Mikawa cotton is a cotton fabric that has been passed down for hundreds of years. Since then, Mikawa has continued to inherit and explore textiles as a textile town where craftsmen of each field, including refining, dyeing, weaving, and sewing, gather.
