blending Usagi no Shio salt and the soft spring water
of Tamatsukuri Onsen
This facial soap contains salt meticulously produced by slowly boiling purified seawater from Izumo Taisha offshore with firewood. It also includes bamboo charcoal. The salt cleanses pores, while bamboo charcoal removes old keratin, leaving your face feeling refreshed. Furthermore, it contains olive oil, rich in oleic acid and vitamin E, which softens the skin, and rice bran oil, which provides a refreshing and smooth wash. It is recommended for those who desire a moist yet clean cleanse.

Cold Process Soap
The cold process method is a traditional, rustic manufacturing method that involves slowly aging and drying ingredients for over a month without applying heat, thereby preserving their integrity. This method also produces glycerin, a moisturizing component, resulting in a skin-friendly soap with a smooth lather.
This series includes three types: Makomo Facial Soap "Misogi," Yamamomo Facial Soap "En," and Usagi no Shio Facial Soap "Kiyoshi." All soaps feature stylish colors and scents, making you want to try every kind.
With simple ingredients, this is also recommended as a small gift for pregnant women whose skin tends to be sensitive. And, of course, for yourself. Daily care is sure to become a special, healing time.
Blended with Izumo Taisha offshore sea salt
and Tamatsukuri Onsen hot spring water
The salt used as a raw material is produced by Mr. Abe in the Usagi district of Taisha Town, Izumo City. Mr. Abe revived traditional salt making in this small port town surrounded by sea and forest. The firewood used for the salt pan comes from disused timber in the area, allowing for salt production that utilizes resources effectively.

Among the three types of facial soap, we felt this one lathered up the fastest. After washing, the skin felt refreshed. Despite the refreshing feel, there was no sensation of tightness at all.

kiu 祈雨 aims to preserve this ancient wisdom as a cultural legacy by creating cosmetics that restore balance to both skin and mind. We use locally grown, pesticide-free plants unique to Izumo and salt produced using traditional methods as our ingredients.
