Ancient Izumo was known as the land of medicine. The Izumo no Kuni Fudoki, compiled 1,300 years ago, lists over 100 types of plants that grew wild in Izumo, more than half of which were medicinal herbs.
In order to preserve the ancient wisdom as a culture, kiu Kiu will continue to create cosmetics that harmonize the skin and mind using ingredients such as plants unique to Izumo, grown without pesticides by local producers, and salt made using traditional methods.
