In order to bring out the texture and three-dimensionality of the simple BASIC Hina doll, each doll is carefully crafted using Saori weaving, which gives the doll a distinctive weave.
The ability to weave threads of different counts (thicknesses) is unique to hand weaving. You will find that the richness of the texture of the cotton thread is quite different from that of machine woven fabrics.
