It is characterized by its black hair, round face, and hikime-kagibana dumpling-like face that appears in the Tale of Genji emaki, and is said to have been around 30 years since the Horeki period, Meiwa, Yasunei, Tenmei, and Kansei years. ``Jirozaemon Hina'' dominated the popularity of Edo for many years, and regardless of trends, ``Jirozaemon Hina'' were respected by the court nobles and feudal lords as the mainstream Hina dolls for a long time.
