This is an original helmet ornament unique to Jishō, in which the koji leaf is boldly arranged in the shape of a shovel-shaped crest. The koji leaf is carefully carved using intricate metalwork.

A unique helmet ornament made with the finest craftsmanship in Japan
Master craftsman, Minoru Bessho

A unique piece made using the most advanced techniques in Japan. The solitary armor maker, Bessho Sanemasa, stands out from the rest.
The technical skills of engraving and forging techniques create exquisite pieces. They have a gorgeousness within their strength. They have a profound feeling that is unlike anything else.

It will become a work of art that will stand the test of time and be beautifully displayed for a long time.

Japan's finest intricate and delicate engraving

The hoe-shaped base, the round metal fittings on the back of the sword, and the metal fittings at the bottom are all made by drilling 0.7mm holes in each place and then cutting around them with a jigsaw to create the holes.
Unlike holes made by general etching processes, this method allows for high precision in thick, deep, and fine details, resulting in exquisite decorative fittings.

They are made using metalworking techniques, where copper plates are hammered over and over to create the intricate leaf patterns and shapes. Each piece can only be made by hand, so they are masterpieces that are imbued with the artist's passion.

The technique of weaving Odoshiito (ornamental thread)

The threads used in this helmet are thinner than those used in a typical helmet of the same size, and from the back of the helmet, with its thin, dense and beautifully arranged threads, you can clearly see the careful work of the craftsman.

The beauty of the many spaces between adjacent pots

A detailed structure of rivets and gaps
There are several vertical lines (called "ma") running from the top of the pot to the bottom of the pot. Metal plates are attached to these lines. If the spacing is even slightly off, the pot will not look nice.
The delicacy, like that of an accessory, is a beauty that only Jitsumasa can express.

Exquisite engraving, all done by hand
