An armor decoration that,
while dignified, exudes a certain gentleness
Hare to Kurasu Original CompactKimekomi Doll "Homareyoroi Series"

A compact Gogo-gatsu doll with a quiet presence,
born from the kimekomi technique
Unlike grand armor, it has a simple and warm expression.
The craftsmanship and sensibility of the artist are inherited, and each piece is carefully tailored.
This work, "Shikou," is an armor piece
characterized by deep brown tones and a powerful lion motif on the helmet crest.
The "tsurubashiri" (chest guard) features a lion motif, which has been cherished since ancient times as a symbol of warding off evil and protection,
embodying a wish for healthy growth and unwavering strength.
It exudes a majestic presence within its subdued colors.
It has a refined beauty that blends into modern life.
This armor decoration is somewhat modern and naturally blends into various living spaces such as shelves, living rooms, and entrances, quietly conveying the wish for children's growth each year.

1|Refined and Modern Form Created by the Kimekomi Technique
The kimekomi technique, which involves hand-pressing fabric into grooves, makes it possible to create
a clean silhouette with no unnecessary frills.

Based on the traditional form of votive armor, we minimized decoration
and created a linear and refined silhouette.
Compact yet dignified.
While evoking a Japanese aesthetic, its unobtrusive presence
naturally blends into modern living spaces,
quietly and subtly adorning the room.
2|Detailed Design
The tsurubashiri (chest guard) and maedate (helmet crest) were redesigned based on various historical materials. We value the meaning of wishing for a child's healthy growth, especially in this day and age.
The "tsurubashiri" is a decorative leather or fabric plate placed in the center of the armor's torso in Gogo-gatsu dolls.

Tsurubashiri
The tsurubashiri of
The lion has been cherished since ancient times as a symbol of warding off evil and protection.
It is an essential motif in shrines, temples, and festivals as a sacred beast that repels evil and protects homes and people.
The lion not only represents strength and courage,
but also symbolizes the "parent's heart" and "invisible power" that protect what is precious.
As a guardian that watches over a child's growth and bestows the strength to overcome difficulties,
a dignified presence is imbued within the tsurubashiri.
It is a traditional yet universal motif that combines power and grace.
Although it is a Japanese pattern, its elegant design, which feels modern, showcases the artisan's sensibility.

Embodying dignified protection
The helmet crest was sculpted by hand and molded from hard ultra-hard plaster.
While expressing the power of the lion, we avoided excessive roughness in its form to maintain an elegant overall appearance.
The lion is an auspicious symbol that has been cherished since ancient times as a protector that wards off evil. Its majestic form embodies the wish to avert misfortune and watch over healthy growth.
Quietly, yet surely.
This helmet crest stands as an unwavering guardian, powerfully supporting a child's journey.

5|Illuminated Base for Rich Expression
The illuminated base is available in two colors: natural wood and black lacquer.
Gentle light spreads from the bottom of the base, allowing you to beautifully enjoy the shadows and three-dimensionality of the armor.
The ability to enjoy different expressions between day and night is also an attractive feature.

6|Artist's Plate
The artist's plate is a wooden plaque placed beside the helmet or armor, bearing the name of the doll's artist or craftsman. It serves to certify that the doll is "authentic," made by a craftsman with reliable skills, and enhances its prestige and trustworthiness as a gift.
7|Comes with a dedicated box for storage
Gogo-gatsu dolls are meant to be displayed for a long time.
The Homareyoroi series includes a dedicated storage box.
It protects the doll from dust and humidity,
allowing for safe storage.

The [Homareyoroi Series] is an original project by Hare to Kurasu.
These Gogo-gatsu dolls possess the charm of traditional crafts, setting them apart from mass-produced items.
