An armor decoration that feels gentle
amidst a dignified appearance.
Hare to Kurasu Original CompactKimekomi Doll "Homare Yoroi Series"

A compact Gogo-gatsu doll that exudes a quiet presence,
born from the kimekomi technique.
Unlike grand armor, it has a simple and warm expression.
The artist's skill and sensibility are inherited, and each piece is carefully crafted.
This work, "Aogetsu -souugetsu-",
features a clear blue color and a crescent moon maedate (helmet crest) as symbolic armor.
The tsurubashiri (chest protector) depicts a dove and rhomboid pattern, wishing for peace and protection,
embodying gentle kindness amidst bravery.
A refined aesthetic that blends with modern life.
This armor decoration has a modern feel, naturally blending into various spaces in your home, such as shelves, living rooms, and entrances, quietly conveying your wish for your child's growth every year.

1 | A refined and modern form created by the kimekomi technique
A clean silhouette with unnecessary elements removed,
achieved precisely because of the kimekomi technique of manually pushing fabric into grooves.

Based on the traditional form of votive armor,
we have created a linear and refined silhouette.
Compact yet dignified.
While evoking Japanese aesthetics, its subtle presence
naturally blends into modern homes,
quietly and subtly adorning the space.

2 | Meticulously designed down to the smallest detail
The tsurubashiri (chest plate) and maedate (helmet crest) of the torso were designed after re-interpreting various historical documents. We value the meaning of wishing for a child's healthy growth, especially in this day and age.
A "tsurubashiri" is a decorative plate made of leather or fabric placed in the center of the胴 (do, or torso) of a Gogo-gatsu armor.

Tsurubashiri (Chest Protector)
The Tsurubashiri of
The facing birds symbolize harmony, connection, and a watchful relationship.
It expresses the wish for a child's healthy growth, support, and mutual care.
Doves have long been considered symbols of peace, tranquility, and safety.
The dove lozenge pattern embodies the wish to ward off misfortune and protect peaceful days. It is a design that possesses gentleness and protection, not just bravery. Its elegant design, which feels modern yet is a Japanese pattern, showcases the craftsman's refined taste.

Crescent Moon
— A maedate that is simple yet exudes a quiet presence —

The maedate (helmet crest) was handmade as a prototype and molded using hard gypsum.
By keeping it from being too large, the overall rustic charm and elegance are harmonized.
The crescent moon is a design that symbolizes "growth" and "hope for the future" as it waxes towards a full moon.
It is a traditional auspicious shape, cherished for centuries, that expresses the wish for a child to grow up healthy day by day, just like the gradually waxing moon.
Like the moon quietly floating in the night sky, it gently watches over their journey, offering subtle support.

5 | Rich expression with an illuminated base
The illuminated base is available in two colors: natural wood or black lacquer.
Gentle light spreads from the bottom of the base, allowing you to beautifully enjoy the shadows and three-dimensionality of the armor.
Another charm is being able to enjoy different expressions during the day and at night.

The artist's nameplate is a wooden plaque displayed next to the helmet or armor, bearing the name of the doll's artist or craftsman. It serves to prove that the doll was created by a craftsman with reliable skills, enhancing its prestige and credibility as a gift.
7 | Comes with a dedicated box for storage considerations
Gogatsu dolls are meant to be displayed for a long time.
The Homare Yoroi series comes with a dedicated storage box.
It protects the doll from dust and humidity,
allowing for worry-free storage.

The "Homare Yoroi Series" is an original project by Hare to Kurasu.
These Gogo-gatsu dolls possess the appeal of fine art and craft, setting them apart from mass-produced items.
While preserving the traditional kimekomi technique, the design has been adapted to blend into modern living spaces.
They blend naturally into your daily life,
quietly conveying your wish for your child's growth each year.
