An armor ornament that feels somehow gentle
within its dignified appearance.

Hare to Kurasu Original CompactKimekomi Doll "Homare Yoroi Series"

A compact Children's Day doll with a quiet presence,
born from the Kimekomi technique.

Unlike grandiose armor, it has a simple and warm expression.
The artist's skill and sensibility are inherited, and each piece is carefully crafted.

This work, "Soushou," is an armor piece
symbolizing a clear blue hue and a dragonfly front crest.

The "tsurubashiri" (breastplate) features a dove rhombus pattern, symbolizing peace and harmony,
and the advancing dragonfly represents wishes for healthy growth and progress.
It embodies a light and dignified beauty.

Its graceful form harmonizes with modern lifestyles.
Somewhat modern, it naturally blends into various spaces in your home, such as shelves, living rooms, and entrances, quietly conveying your wishes for your child's growth every year.

1|Elegant and modern form born from the Kimekomi technique

The Kimekomi technique, which involves hand-pushing fabric into grooves, allows for a clean silhouette, stripped of excess.
A clean silhouette, stripped of excess.

Based on the traditional form of dedication armor, we have created a clean and linear form with minimal decoration.
We have created a clean, linear form.

Compact yet dignified.
While evoking Japanese aesthetics, its unobtrusive presence
naturally blends into modern living spaces,
quietly and subtly adorning the space.

2|Meticulously designed details

The "tsurubashiri" (breastplate) and "maedate" (front crest) were redesigned and planned based on various historical materials.
It is important to cherish the meaning of wishing for a child's healthy growth, especially now.

The "tsurubashiri" is a decorative plate made of leather or cloth, placed in the center of the body of a samurai armor for Children's Day dolls.

Tsurubashiri

The "tsurubashiri" (breastplate) of "Soushou"
incorporates the "hatobishi" (dove rhombus) pattern. The image of facing birds symbolizes harmony, connection, and mutual protection. It represents the desire for a child's healthy growth, and the wish for companionship and support. Doves have long been symbols of peace, tranquility, and safety. The hatobishi pattern embodies the hope of warding off misfortune and preserving peaceful days. It is a design that combines bravery with gentleness and protection. While being a traditional Japanese pattern, its elegant design, which also feels modern, showcases the artisan's exquisite taste.

Dragonfly

― A simple yet quietly impactful maedate (front crest) ―

A maedate (front crest) that reflects the power to move forward into the future

The maedate is handcrafted from a prototype and shaped using hard super gypsum.
By preserving its delicate form and avoiding excessive ornamentation, it achieves a harmonious balance of lightness and refinement.

Dragonflies are called "kachimushi" (victorious insects) because they always move forward without retreating,
and have been cherished by warriors as an auspicious symbol.

Their unwavering advance embodies the will for the future and the wish for growth.
This maedate gently encourages children to walk their own path straight ahead.

5|Expressive with a lighted stand

You can choose from two colors for the lighted stand: natural wood or black lacquer.
Gentle light spreads from the bottom of the stand, beautifully highlighting the shadows and three-dimensionality of the armor.
It's also charming to enjoy different expressions between day and night.

6|Artist's Plate

The artist's plate is a wooden plaque placed next to a helmet or armor, bearing the name of the doll's artist or craftsman. It certifies that the doll is an "authentic" piece made by a craftsman with reliable skills, enhancing its prestige and trustworthiness as a gift.

7|Comes with a dedicated box for storage considerations

Children's Day dolls are meant to be displayed for a long time.
The Homare Yoroi series comes with a dedicated storage box.

It protects the doll from dust and moisture,
allowing you to store it with peace of mind.

The "Homare Yoroi Series" is an original project by Hare to Kurasu.
Children's Day dolls with the refined taste of artistic craftsmanship that sets them apart from mass-produced items.
While preserving the traditional Kimekomi technique, the design has been adapted to harmonize with modern living spaces.
