An armor decoration that feels gentle
amidst its dignified presence.
Hare to Kurasu Original Compact
Kimekomi Doll "Homare Armor Series"

A compact Gogo doll with a quiet presence,
born from the kimekomi technique.
Unlike magnificent armor, it has a simple and warm expression.
The techniques and sensibilities of the artisans are passed down, and each piece is carefully crafted.
This work, "Suigo,"
is an armor featuring a soft green hue and a crescent moon crest.
The chest plate depicts a pattern of "mojishi" (seaweed lion), symbolizing supple vitality and protection,
with wishes for gentle and healthy growth.
It has a gentle and harmonious presence, evoking the breath of nature.
It embraces modern living with its refined aesthetic.
Somewhat modern, it naturally blends into various spaces in your home, such as shelves, living rooms, and entrances, quietly conveying your wishes for your child's growth each year.

1|Refined and modern forms born from the kimekomi technique
A sleek silhouette, stripped of unnecessary elements,
achieved precisely because of the kimekomi technique of manually tucking fabric into grooves.

Based on the traditional form of votive armor, we have simplified the decorations
to create a linear and refined silhouette.
Compact yet dignified.
While evoking Japanese aesthetics, its unassuming nature
blends naturally into modern living spaces,
quietly and subtly adorning the space.
2|Meticulously designed details
The string guards and crests of the torso were redesigned and planned based on various historical documents. The significance of wishing for children's healthy growth is still valued today.
A "tsurubashiri" is a decorative panel made of leather or cloth, placed in the center of the torso of a Gogo doll's armor.

Tsurubashiri (chest plate)
The tsurubashiri of
Mojishi is a unique Japanese decorative lion pattern, where the lion's mane is likened to aquatic plants or seaweed.
The curved lines, reminiscent of flowing water, symbolize the cycle of life, purity, and the power to wash away impurities. It has been passed down as a guardian that wards off disasters and protects peaceful daily life.
By overlaying the powerful strength of the majestic lion with the gentle movement of seaweed,
it embodies the meaning of "gentle protection" that quietly accompanies and safeguards, rather than a wild force.
The meticulous craftsmanship of the tsurubashiri creates a design that feels both refined and deep.
Although a Japanese pattern, its elegant design, which also feels modern, showcases the artisan's exquisite taste.

Crescent Moon
― A simple yet quietly imposing crest ―

The crest was handcrafted from a prototype and molded using hard super-hard plaster.
By making it a size that isn't overly assertive, we've achieved an overall balance of simplicity and elegance.
The crescent moon is a design symbolizing "growth" and "hope for the future," linked to the waxing moon.
Like the moon gradually growing full, it's a long-loved auspicious symbol, wishing for children to grow up healthy day by day.
Like the moon quietly floating in the night sky, it gently watches over their journey, softly accompanying them.

5|Expressive with a lighted base
The lighted base is available in two colors: natural wood or black lacquer.
A gentle light spreads from the bottom of the base, allowing you to beautifully enjoy the shadows and three-dimensionality of the armor.
The ability to enjoy different expressions both day and night is also a charm.

6|Artist's Plate
The "sakufuda" is a wooden plaque displayed next to helmets and armor, bearing the name of the doll's artist or craftsman. It serves to prove that the doll is an "authentic" piece created by a craftsman with reliable skills, enhancing its prestige and trustworthiness as a gift.
7|Comes with a dedicated storage box for preservation
Gogatsu dolls are meant to be displayed for a long time.
The Homare Armor Series comes with a dedicated box suitable for storage.
It protects the dolls from dust and humidity,

The 【Homare Armor Series】 is an original project by Hare to Kurasu.
