This captivating Candy Charm combines delicate gold leaf fabric with subdued colors, creating the palest layered colors among all KIMONO Hina dolls. Literally, it means "candy charm."


　

Enjoy more colors! Fabric

To express the joy of color and design, we chose canvas fabric. Canvas fabric seems far removed from delicate Hina dolls. Canvas has a large weave and is a thick, sturdy cotton fabric.

Therefore, we commissioned the fabric from Kurashiki Hampu, a long-established company in our hometown of Okayama.
By combining tradition with modern sensibilities, we created charming Hina decorations.
 　

＜Kurashiki Hampu＞

Since 1888, "Kurashiki Hampu" has been spinning tradition and weaving innovation.
A crucial factor in its quality is the highly skilled yarn twisting technique passed down for over 130 years. Several strands of 100% cotton raw yarn are twisted together to create a flexible yet strong thread. Relying on the experience and intuition of skilled artisans, this thread is woven on rare "shuttle looms" to become "Kurashiki Hampu," distinguished by its beautifully neat selvage.

This first-class canvas, brimming with warmth, is nurtured by the blessings of nature—cotton—and human passion.
Its robust yet gentle texture, as if speaking to the heart, is a testament to the diligent and painstaking pursuit of authenticity.

The contemporary and unique facial features, characteristic of KIMONO Hina, are both gorgeous and soft yet strong.
It is also said to be the origin of Hina dolls, as KIMONO Hina allows you to enjoy rich expressions from any angle.

Refining the overall design
Simple and luxurious base and screen

The screen and base prioritize the dolls and atmosphere,
with attention to texture and temporal balance.
 

Although the KIMONO Hina appears flashy, we used a wide screen and base to create an elegant interior space with ample white space. This allows for a relaxed display of the compact Hina dolls. True to the aesthetic sense of wabi-sabi, this Japanese decoration is meticulously designed.
 

By combining two low two-panel screens,
a wide and spacious composition was achieved.
 

The special textured fabric with fibers creates a sophisticated atmosphere. The contrasting colors stand out against the simple design, adding depth to the Hina dolls.
