The fabric chosen to incorporate the joy of color and design was canvas fabric. Canvas fabric seems far removed from delicate Hina dolls. Canvas has a large weave and is a sturdy, thick cotton fabric.

So, we commissioned Kurashiki Canvas, a long-established company in Okayama.
By fusing tradition with modern sensibilities, we have created an elegant Hina decoration.

"Kurashiki Canvas" has spun tradition and woven innovation since 1888.
The key to its quality is the highly skilled yarn twisting technique passed down for over 130 years. Several 100% cotton raw yarns are twisted together to create a yarn that is both supple and strong. Relying on the experience and intuition of artisans, it is woven on rare "shuttle looms" to create a beautifully finished fabric called selvedge, reborn as "Kurashiki Canvas."

A top-quality canvas overflowing with warmth, cultivated by the blessings of nature, cotton, and human ingenuity.
Its robust yet gentle texture, as if speaking to the heart, is proof of the meticulous pursuit of "authenticity," carefully and lovingly, sparing no effort.

Refining the overall design

The screen and stand, which prioritize atmosphere for the dolls,
were created with attention to texture and temporal balance.
 

So that you can stylishly display your Hina dolls in any room, even though the KIMONO may appear flamboyant, we've used a wide screen and base to enhance its interior appeal through negative space, allowing for a relaxed display despite its compact size. Precisely because it is a Japanese decoration, it is designed faithfully to the aesthetic sensibilities of wabi-sabi.
 

The screen is made of two low, two-fold screens,
creating a wide and spacious composition.
 

With a special texture incorporating fibers, it creates a moist atmosphere. The accent color stands out against the simple shape, giving the Hina dolls

"May the children born grow up healthy." With this family wish in mind, we offer heartfelt prayers for the sacred celebration of the Hina Matsuri. At "Hare to Kurasu," all Hina dolls are blessed at a shrine before delivery.

 

 

　

Hina dolls have long been said to be Yorishiro (objects that attract spirits), receiving children's misfortunes and illnesses in their stead. With wishes that "disasters do not befall them" and "they attain happiness in life," they are displayed as a protective charm for children, even today, as one of the important celebratory events.

　

Every year, families celebrate the Peach Festival, and as the seasons change, children grow day by day. We hope that the Hina dolls we deliver, along with the family's wishes, will stay by the child's side, protect them as they grow, and be of service to them.
