[Pattern: Asanoha (Hemp Leaf)]

It is one of Japan's traditional patterns, a continuous hexagonal pattern geometrically representing the shape of a hemp leaf. Continuous patterns are believed to symbolize longevity, eternity, and immortality.
Hemp has been an essential plant in Shinto rituals since ancient times, used in Shinto ropes (shimenawa) and offerings (nusa) before deities, and considered a "sacred fiber where gods dwell." The hemp leaf pattern, too, has been used in clothing and tools as a symbol of divine protection, making it a deeply familiar pattern in Japan since ancient times.
1. Symbol of Growth and Health
Hemp leaves grow straight, quickly, and robustly. Therefore, it is a pattern favored for baby clothes, swaddles, and celebratory kimonos, with the wish that "children grow up healthy and strong."
2. Power to Ward Off Evil
Hemp has been considered a sacred plant since ancient times and was believed to have the power to ward off evil spirits. Its regular, sharp geometric pattern is also said to have the meaning of warding off evil, and has been used in baby clothes and amulets.
3. Auspicious Pattern
Due to the good balance and beauty of the pattern, it also conveys meanings of prosperity, thriving business, and family safety, making it suitable for display in any location.
Meaning and Wishes of the Asanoha Pattern
🌿 Straightforward growth
🌿 Healthy vitality
🌿 Amulet against evil
🌿 Pure heart and body
This pattern, especially used for baby's swaddling clothes, wraps, and undergarments,
embodies the deep prayer of parents for their child to "grow up healthy and strong."
It is a pattern of prayer that gently supports the strength of life and watches over growth.
Furthermore, it is not only a gift for babies but also a perfect send-off for those embarking on a journey or an encouragement for those who have aged, signifying "still growing." The asanoha pattern is a gentle yet powerful form of prayer that illuminates all moments of life.
Since the pattern symbolizes "healthy growth" and "warding off evil," it is especially recommended for baby showers, as well as children's celebrations and birthdays, such as seasonal festivals.
It is also a suitable pattern for gifts for weddings and life milestones.

Japanese color "Waka-ba Iro" (Young Leaf Green)
― The budding of life, a prayer for the future ―

In Japanese nature and culture, it is a color cherished as a symbol of the budding and rebirth of life.
Wakaba-iro, or young leaf green, reminiscent of the leaves of plants and trees that have just sprouted in spring, is a yellow-green color that captures the hue of young leaves shining in the light during the season when Japanese nature awakens, a traditional color symbolizing the breath of life.
The Sacred Culture and Prayer of Young Leaves
In Japanese Shinto rituals, "young things" such as sakaki branches and young greens were considered a conduit to the gods.
Offering young leaves meant rebirth and purification, and it was an act that celebrated "new beginnings" and "a changing future" rather than youth itself.
The Message of Young Leaf Green
🌱 Rebirth and beginnings
🌱 Purity and honesty
🌱 Prayer for growth
🌱 The power to look forward brightly
Young leaf green embodies not just youth, but the "power to grow from this very moment."
It is a color that wishes for a baby's healthy growth, and also a color that holds a prayer for the "future" of those who have journeyed through life.
The Spirit of Young Leaves, also suitable for longevity celebrations
Young leaf green is not just for the young. Just as a flower that has bloomed once sprouts again, it is also a color to celebrate new seasons in life, making it perfect for milestone gifts such as Kanreki (60th birthday) and Kiju (77th birthday).
🌿 Now and always
🌿 Celebrating what has been lived and the budding to come
🌿 Not an "end," but the "beginning of a new spring"
With such thoughts,
a young leaf green temari becomes a gift of hope for your loved ones.

Points to note for Kurashiki Temari
Kurashiki Temari are meticulously handcrafted one by one. There are slight differences in the texture of the materials, the tension of the threads, and the appearance of the patterns, each giving them a unique character. We hope you will enjoy these aspects. Please note the following points in advance:
●Since each item is handmade, there may be slight individual differences in color, pattern, and shape.
●If natural materials or plant-dyed threads are used, the color may change over time. Please enjoy this as part of its charm.
●They are susceptible to strong force, impact, and water, so please handle them with care.
●Storing them in direct sunlight for extended periods may cause discoloration. Please enjoy them in a place where they are not exposed to direct sunlight. Folk Craft Nurtured in Kurashiki, a City of Culture
Kurashiki Temari was born from an encounter with Higomari, a traditional craft from Kumamoto. Higomari are gorgeous temari with advanced techniques, depicting intricate geometric patterns with colorful threads. Kurashiki Temari was elevated into a rustic and gentle expression that suited the Kurashiki region by its creator, who was moved by its beauty.
The quiet presence and rustic, warm texture are the charms of Kurashiki Temari.
Kurashiki, known as a "city of beauty" with numerous art museums and craft museums, has a cultural foundation that has supported and carefully nurtured the craftsmanship of Kurashiki Temari.
Carefully crafted "Kurashiki Temari"
one by one by hand
Kurashiki Temari are carefully handmade one by one.

First, husks are traditionally used as the core. These are wrapped in paper and shaped into a ball. The core is then wound with several layers of thread to stabilize it and give it roundness and elasticity.
To achieve the "Kurashiki Temari" aesthetic, we use cotton threads dyed by ourselves.
