"Itowokashi" Hina Dolls adorning the Japanese landscape throughout the seasons
"Itowokashi" refers to something that is very beautiful and has an elegant charm. These Hina dolls express the "Itowokashi" scenery as seen through the world of "The Pillow Book" and our unique desire to "live with auspiciousness" in each of the four seasons.
The world of graceful Waka poetry. These Hina decorations are compact yet picturesque, perfect as seasonal interior decor.
Together with the seasonal festival, we convey the "Itowokashi" traditional beauty of Japan.
We reflected the beautiful summer night in the attire, coloring both the Princess and Lord with its hues.
The refreshing beauty of a summer night, with a breeze, is gracefully draped on the princess, who still retains a youthful innocence. The lord's sleeves depict clematis, representing the moonlight, the glow of fireflies, and the summer sun.
The vibrant coloring of the attire is one of the highlights of "Tokiiro". "Yoru," expressing the summer night, encapsulates a sophisticated and refreshing yet transparent worldview.
Beautiful, graceful faces
The faces, retaining a childlike innocence, are elegant and become more endearing the more you look at them. Furthermore, the classical "warige" hairstyle, rare for clothed dolls, expresses cuteness within its beauty.
These Hina dolls are filled with charm, sure to be cherished and displayed by the child as they grow into adulthood, not just by their family.
Beautiful Back View
Captivating with a hairstyle inspired by Heian beauty
Many Hina dolls feature a hairstyle called "osuberakashi," which has a large volume around the face. In the Heian period, "taregami" (垂髪), literally "hanging hair," referred to hair that flowed down the back. This long, flowing hair is often seen in illustrations from classical picture scrolls. This time, we opted for a hairstyle where the hair is tied back, which is now mainstream, to create Hina dolls whose back view can also be enjoyed.
Compact Hina Dolls, easy to display
These are the smallest sized dolls among dressed Hina dolls. While compact, the use of wide-sized folding screens creates a luxurious setting that doesn't feel cramped. We've designed them with a sophisticated look that blends seamlessly with modern interiors. They are perfectly sized to be displayed on cabinets in entryways or living rooms.

Sophisticated folding screen and display stand
A beautifully crafted Japanese paper folding screen on a subtly matte gray display stand. The screen features a stylish Shippo pattern drawn in silver foil.
Matte gray display stand framed with white wood and matching small stands.
The delicate Japanese paper screen features an elegant silver-white Shippo pattern.
❖ What is Shippo? ❖
It refers to the seven treasures mentioned in Buddhism: gold, silver, crystal, lapis lazuli (ruri), agate (menou), coral, and giant clam (shako). These seven treasures symbolize wealth, prosperity, and high status. As a pattern, it is used as a吉祥紋 (kichijōmon, auspicious emblem) representing "all the world's treasures" and "infinite progeny prosperity" in an endlessly repeating design. It embodies wishes for harmony, peace, and good connections, and also signifies that human relationships and bonds are as valuable as the seven treasures.
Work plaque expressing worldview
The wooden plaque, printed with a clean logo, has no legs, allowing it to be displayed at an angle, thus simplifying the display. While respecting classical aesthetics, details such as the display stand, folding screen, and work plaque are stylized to embody the serene Japanese scenery, expressing wabi-sabi. Just as Japan is called the "Land of the Rising Sun," when displaying Hina dolls, we hope you will enjoy the play of shadows on the display stand and folding screen, along with the surrounding scenery.
Summer is "Yoru" (Night) Enjoy the beautiful and fragrant colors of the season on a summer night.
