Special hand-printing technique [fuki-back]
The back part is made of "Kyoto Nishiki", a material made using hand-dyed printing techniques. Unparalleled value and design
The fukiage is the front of the helmet and, along with the kuwagata crest, is the most eye-catching part. This product uses the same pattern fabric as the popular Tabletop Carp Streamer Kyo Nishiki, which comes in a compact size that makes the celebration of Tango no Sekku feel more familiar.
The dyeing process is greatly affected by daily changes in temperature and humidity, so we use our years of experience to carefully consider the daily changes in temperature and humidity and adjust the dye mixture accordingly.
To create colorful carp streamers, several different colors and molds are used to dye them, giving them a rich texture. Among the carp streamers dyed in this way, the smallest size is the Tabletop Carp Streamer Kyo Nishiki. It requires different techniques than larger sized carp streamers.
The finished carp streamers have a delicate craftsmanship that allows you to feel traditional culture, and you can enjoy a different feeling from the carp streamers that fly in the sky. In addition, the [Kyo Nishiki Kabuto/Tabletop Carp Streamer Kyo Nishiki Set] that we have prepared this time is a set that also expresses the thoughts and wishes for the Boys' Festival.
The "kazari (helmet decorations)" displayed during the Boys' Festival represent wishes for a brave life and also serve as a kind of talisman to protect the wearer. Carp streamers are based on the legend of the Dragon Gate, and are imbued with the wish that "in the flow of life, we want you to overcome obstacles like a carp. We want you to grow into a strong person who can persevere even in adversity." The set of "Kyo Nishiki Kabuto and Tabletop Carp Streamer Kyo Nishiki," which combines the meaning of a helmet ornament and a carp streamer, will be a special gift that is perfect for celebrating the first festival like no other.

Tokunaga's pride and joy: Kyonishiki
“Presented Hand-dyed Yuzen Koi Kyonishiki” is a carp streamer in which the graceful figure of a Nishikigoi carp is realistically depicted by the brush of Japanese painter Tokunaga Haruho. The unique colors of the Nishikigoi are dyed using a seven-color gradation, and the entire scale is decorated with fan-shaped gold. Each fish is dyed with a different pattern - black, red, or blue - to make them look more like real Nishikigoi. As the name "Yuzen" suggests, it reproduces the classical masks and artistic "Nishikigoi" carp painted by Japanese painters, and the hand-printing by artisans blends well together to create a beautiful piece that stands out against the Japanese sky. When people think of "Tokunaga carp streamers," many first think of "Kyo Nishiki," and its timeless design has remained a long-selling item since its release.
In order to allow you to enjoy these carp streamers at your leisure indoors, we have created a compact carp streamer and helmet ornament that is easy to display.
Founder Tokunaga Haruho was inspired by the carp streamers that swam in the sky over the burnt ruins, and with that inspiration in his heart, he created the carp streamer, a symbol of hope for the future. Since the company was founded in 1947, the company has treasured the value of happiness that colors special days, and in 1990, the first Kyonishiki was born. Overturning the definitions of black carp (magoi) and red carp (higoi), the company has added red and purple to black carp, and used unique colors for red and blue carp to recreate real Nishikigoi.

Carefully crafted helmet crest, helmet bowl, and lace
The powerful crest and goldwork make the helmet ornament stand out.
The beautifully curved 鍬形 (helmet crest) is decorated with a delicate bird feather pattern, giving it an elegant yet powerful presence. The gold color of the crest and carvings gives it a gorgeous impression, allowing it to be displayed in a sophisticated manner without being dull.
An elegant helmet bowl
The navy blue helmet bowl with a matte texture has an elegant and stylish feel. The gold color of the goldwork is not overly flashy, but rather brings the whole piece together in a subtle way. The result is a color scheme with an exquisite sense of balance.
Beautiful Odori
The contrast between the lace and the small plates determines the impression of the helmet. This is a masterpiece that has been carefully crafted down to the material and color scheme.
The lace, which is said to determine the quality of the helmet, is intricately woven and carefully tailored. The color scheme is inspired by the Kyotsuru Windsock, a Kyonishiki windsock, and reproduces the color scheme of the wind blowing through the fresh greenery, from the white of the crane to the blue of the sky. It is simple yet tightens up the whole, giving it a Kyonishiki-like, moist finish.
A luxurious original display stand with beautiful texture and three-dimensional effect
The three-dimensional cut gives the stand a sense of thickness and depth, creating a luxurious feel. An acrylic plate is fitted into the center, creating a spacious design.
